By accessing or using infoMoris (the "Service"), including the website at infomoris.com and the Android application, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
infoMoris is a news aggregation platform that collects and displays articles from publicly available RSS feeds of Mauritian media outlets. We also provide user accounts, commenting, and reaction features.
3. User Accounts
You may create an account using Google Sign-In or email/password registration. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Providing accurate and current information.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Email Verification
Certain features (such as posting comments) require a verified email address. You must verify your email before accessing these features. We may restrict unverified accounts at our discretion.
5. User Conduct
When using the Service, you agree not to:
- Post content that is defamatory, abusive, hateful, threatening, or otherwise objectionable.
- Impersonate any person or entity.
- Spam, flood, or disrupt the Service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission.
- Circumvent security measures including CAPTCHA verification.
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
6. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of the comments and reactions you submit. By posting content you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the Service.
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms without prior notice.
7. Intellectual Property
All news articles displayed are the property of their respective publishers and are sourced via publicly available RSS feeds. The infoMoris name, logo, and original design elements are our intellectual property.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our original content without written permission.
8. Third-Party Content & Links
The Service contains links to third-party websites and content we do not control. We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or content of external sites. Accessing third-party links is at your own risk.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- Content displayed is accurate, complete, or current.
- The Service is free of viruses or harmful components.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, infoMoris and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.
11. Abuse Prevention
We use Cloudflare Turnstile, rate limiting, and other security measures to prevent abuse. Attempts to bypass these protections may result in permanent ban from the Service.
12. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mauritius. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mauritius.
